The Times They Are a Changin'

As some of you know, I have been doing business online since about 1999 and most of that time was spent selling my original mouse drawn graphic designs on my site Pollyanna Graphics . The site has always been very successful and lucrative for me, however, I've noticed a recent decline in interest for this particular style. Most of my customers have been stay-at-home-moms, but with the changing economic climate and women discovering they can make a little money while still being at home with their children, the focus is on more contemporary design and designs with a scrapbook flavor. Now it's work-at-home-moms. Vintage is hot right now, as is shabby chic and very feminine designs.

So, I am beginning a new-old journey that actually goes back to what I did with my very first graphics site, Majestic Mountain Graphics. I created Victorian style graphic sets using vintage ephemera and royalty free clip-art. At that time, there was an online group of digital artists we referred to as "The mouse drawn country graphic community" who frowned upon those of us who didn't draw our own artwork, even if we used copyright free images. So, I began drawing my own designs, which actually turned out very well for me. But, that was then and this is now and it seems that my original clip-art designs are now back in favor.

With that said, I am going to be rolling out a whole new era of design and a new image for Pollyanna Graphics. Things change and if you don't change with the times and trends, you get left behind. I've always loved this style and have missed doing this sort of design. My current designs will remain available, but will be moved to a subsection of the site.

Below is a sample of the first web set that I'll be offering up on the site. These designs will be significantly less expensive than some of the stuff you find online, Custom designs will begin at $75.00 and go up from there, depending on how many pieces you need. You will also need to know how to use the designs to set up your own site. I will provide the HTML files for the sets I create, but you will need to know how to edit them for your own use. In nutshell, I do graphic design, but I am not a website designer.

I will also be setting up a separate blog for the graphic designs. I am really looking forward to doing this and I hope you'll enjoy it as well!
