A Bit of Good News

I was sitting at my sewing machine this morning having my coffee and wondering what the day would bring.  I sometimes sit there and inspect my fabric stash and try to think of things I'd like to make with it.  I made this pin cushion a few years ago and sold it on Etsy.  I found the figurine at the thrift store and knew it would make a lovely pin cushion.  Kinda wish I still had it.

I decided to check my e-mail and was pleasantly surprised to see an e-mail.....unsolicited......from the insurance adjuster handling my work comp case.

"I've gotten the last details wrapped up and today I am filing the state paperwork and issuing the initial payment. This will be in the mail to you today."

I usually have to chase him around with a hot poker to even get a grunt out of him, so imagine how.....GOBSMACKED I was to see that e-mail from him.

I'm not the kind of person who counts their chickens before they're hatched, but I feel pretty good about it!  There's no bills like paid bills, I thought.  A good night's sleep in my future?

I mentioned a post or so ago about wanting to do some Christmas ornaments.  Not enough time to make them and get them in my Etsy shop for this Christmas, but I'm going to make them while I have the time.  There's always next year!

Maybe I'll sew some stockings as well.  I love making them out of vintage linens, but I think I may use the leftover canvas from my place mats.  Some farmhouse style stockings, I think!

I've been soaking in worry, and now I feel like I might like to do some projects!

Maybe I'll paint some candles as well!  I'm feeling very inspired looking at photos of some previous creations.  I've missed it so much!
