Around the House

With all that's been going on, I've been in pretty good spirits the last few days.  Money isn't a worry any longer, and that's probably why I'm not feeling so anxious.

I've actually gotten into the Christmas spirit and have been motivated to do things around the house....as much as my physical limitations will allow anyway.

I found the above picture at Kirkland's and fell in love with it!  It's a sentiment that I wholeheartedly lean my life upon and I love the simplicity of it.  His Grace IS Sufficient.

The second photo shows the detail.  Looks like black ship lap.  It's framed with a nice solid wood.  It was only $24.99 and is of very good quality for that price.  I hung it above my sofa in the family room, and as I'm writing this, I'm asking myself why I didn't take a picture of the room.  UGH!  I will do so and show you in another post.  I would go down and take it now, but the sun is setting and the light isn't good.

I have been seeing a lot of cow pictures being used in people's decor and I really love it!  I found this one online and printed it out to use in my reclaimed wood picture frame.  I adore this one's sweet face.

My oldest son said, "Mom...why would you want to put a picture of a cow on your wall?"  I said...."Pinterest told me to."  Hahaha  He's not a huge fan of Pinterest, because his wife is always asking him to build her things for their house that she sees on Pinterest.

Like this....

She saw this built in and wanted it in their mudroom , so he built it for her. He did an outstanding job.  I'm so jealous.  That's Caden, my little grandson, showing it off.

I've been enjoying decorating for Christmas I got the table runner at Ross. I love the plaid and the canvas edging.

I got the Santa head at the dollar store years ago.  I have a snowman head that matches below and I think they look cute with the white bottle brush tree stuffed in them.  The lidded dish is......Pioneer Woman....of course.  :-)

I find it challenging finding something appropriate to put under my glass cloche, so I just put a single white, tall bottle brush tree under it this year.

Here is the top of my tree.  I will try and get a good picture of the whole thing for next time.  The one I took is blurry and I didn't realize it until I sat down to write this post.

I can't recall where I got this, but I think it's so adorably whimsical!

OH, I almost forgot....I went for my follow-up visit with The Cardiologist and he says I'm good to have my surgery any time after the 10th.  So, I'm waiting for a phone call to find out when it will be.  Soon, I hope!
